Siege Museum Outreach Vehicle On The Road

Tue, 13/06/2017 - 10:39am

On Saturday 10th June, The Siege Museum's new outreach vehicle was in Carrickfergus at the annual Landing of King William Pageant where it attracted a lot of attention. It was parked in a prime location in front of the Castle Walls overlooking the harbour and parade route.

A team of volunteers from Burnside Campsie Branch Club led by Bro Michael Speers along with Bro Worthington McGrath from the Museum manned the vehicle. There was a steady flow of inquisitive members of the public throughout the day and many engaged in conversation with the team who were only to eager to pass on information about the Museum and the Apprentice Boys Association.

The outreach vehicle has a busy schedule for the summer months ahead. However if you have an event planned whether that be by a Club, Lodge, Preceptory or other, and feel that the attendance of the vehicle would assist in promoting The Siege Museum and the Apprentice Boys of Derry Association, please contact the Museum to discuss your event on 028 7126 1219.
